Cowaramup - Full of Country Charm

The township of Cowaramup is situated 15 kilometres north of the town of Margaret River and like Margaret River, the eclectic shops and centre of this country town are focused along Bussell Highway. One of the first attractions that welcomes the driver coming into Cowaramup are the charming life size cow figures throughout the main street, which provide a tourist drawcard and have cemented Cowaramup's nickname of "Cow Town".
The town has a Primary School, attractive community recreational playing fields, a District Club incorporating bowling green, a community park and hall and several specialty stores including bakery, petrol stations, cafes and a post office/convenience store.  There has been recent expansion along the highway heading south and Cowaramup is soon to see a distillery and other specialty outlets appear.  There is also a Light Industrial Area a short drive north-east of town.
The residential areas surrounding Cowaramup include the peaceful established properties east and west of the highway, with two newer subdivisions north and south of the town. Further afield to the west, in a peaceful and well designed lakeside and bush setting, are the picturesque subdivisions of Ironstone and Parkwater which have properties ranging in size from 600sqm up to over a hectare.
Cowaramup has a real "country town" feel about it and the well planned surrounding subdivisions provide opportunities for families to buy into the south west region and enjoy the peaceful lifestyle that it offers.
